Your responsibilities as a Waste Producer . . .

Producers of waste have a responsibility to:

•	Excercise a general duty of care

•	Keep up to date with changing legislation

•	Register building sites

•	Register special wastes

•	Take steps to minimise the amount of waste produced

•	Provide data and achieve targets to recycle waste set by the government

•	Make sure that any contractor has a waste carrier's licence

•	Make sure that any waste disposal contractor disposes of all your waste responsibly, recycling wherever possible.
